HPE Discover 2019 Las Vegas: Quick recap of HPE’s biggest global customer & partner event
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE)’s biggest global customer & partner event - Discover has always provided enterprises with a great platform to introduce their ambitions to the world. Every year, HPE has brought together customers, partners, and journalists under one roof to talk about successes and what new products and services will be coming ahead. This time, HPE Discover 2019 kicked off in Las Vegas, creating an incredible opportunity for thousands of attendees to connect directly with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) customers, sessions, demos, face-to-face meetings.
The sheer scale of the event has always been impressive and the team behind HPE Discover this time did an incredible job to ensure its success. At Discover 2019 Las Vegas, HPE unveiled new solutions and partnerships designed to create an edge-centric, cloud-enabled and data-driven future. Here's a quick recap of Day 1, 2 & 3 at Discover 2019:
- The General Session is always a key moment at HPE Discover. After a grand opening, President and Chief Executive Officer of HPE, Antonio Neri took the stage for the General Session to share his excitement for HPE Discover and updates on the upcoming announcements. Starting with the statement “Data is the new currency” he discussed how HPE is defining the next chapter in the IT industry with its approach to deliver everything as a service by 2022. He further highlighted the latest from HPE, including all the innovations in the intelligence storage management platform, computing and compostable cloud and the massive shift everything as a service with HPE Greenlake. As a highlight Antonio announced the new HPE Primera as the next generation of intelligent storage.
- Discover 2019 Las Vegas featured the HPE OEM Hub in a big way, and we had many HPE OEM partners, taking full advantage of the dedicated tours, breakout sessions and more. The hub hosted 12 customers and live demos, including LUCD, Allot Communications, Superloop, Sync-n-Scale, IoT.nxt, Nutanix, and Konica Minolta - all touching on successful use cases around hybrid cloud, Intelligent Edge, and HPE Greenlake in a variety of industry verticals.
- The Nutanix Enterprise Cloud-HPE GreenLake session was a very interesting one, where attendees got to learn about how the recent HPE and Nutanix global partnership announcement enabled HPE customers to realize the benefits of modernizing their data center infrastructures by building a robust, secure, and scalable architecture platform.
- The OEM team hosted a video interview in the Customer Studios with IoT.nxt, Konica Minolta and Superloop, showcasing how they leveraged the HPE OEM program to helping businesses move from smart to intelligent through IoT technologies, creating the workplace of the future and providing cybersecurity solution to K-12 schools.

- Press and analysts were very engaged with HPE partners throughout HPE Discover. For OEM, one of the biggest highlights of Day 2 was a Public Relations and Analysts session that focused on navigating cybersecurity in a shifting IT landscape. During this session, thought leaders in cybersecurity shared their insights. The Chief Executive Officer of Superloop, John Fison, who was one of the panelists, shared how Superloop leverages their HPE OEM partnership to launch the latest cybersecurity innovation to protect school networks.
- The OEM partners led dozens of hands-on demos, like how CTERA delivers hyper converged gateway on HPE Simplivity for their best experience in managing files in a hybrid cloud world. There were panel sessions with OEMs - LUCD, Superloop, Sync-n-Scale, IoT.nxt. Many great insights were shared about key business challenges, future industry trends, their experience as HPE OEM solutions partners, and more.
At the OEM Solutions Hub, experts led one-on-one discussions & shared knowledge of how cutting-edge HPE server, storage and networking technologies accelerate business transformations. HPE Discover 2019 Las Vegas was a huge success with brand new offerings, learnings, sessions and so much more.
