10.20 restored id: vue "/usr/vue/bin/vuerc error
Hi All,
I did restore a C200 workstation running on 10.20 using a make_recovery tape. I manage to restore all other vgs as well. However still I unable to start vue.
I get the following errors frequently.
INIT: command is respawing too rapidly
id: vue "/usr/vue/bin/vuerc ....."
id: ShPr "/opt/sharedprint/bin/spserver.
I checked the /etc/initab also.to my knowledge it seems ok.However after restoration I found some /var directories, /home were missing in the system. So I frecover them using previous fback tape.
I manage to recover /home and /var files/directories. Still I get the previous errors.
***Is there any other files do I have to restore?
***Is any way to solve this out?
Thanks.

Re: 10.20 restored id: vue "/usr/vue/bin/vuerc error
Hi Nuwan,
try to comment out the VUE entry in /etc/inittab. After that issue:
#init q
the messages will no longer appear

Re: 10.20 restored id: vue "/usr/vue/bin/vuerc error
Check the file:
/usr/vue/bin/vuerc
If it has zero length, restore it from a working machine.
