1000Baset networks problems
Hi:
I have a rp3440 hpux box, with 2 network interface at 1000baset interface, one's in the core board and the other in the PCI slot.
The problem that i get is when disconnect and reconnect any of thoses cables RJ45 that comming from the switch. The connection in the other 1000Baset NIC loss. (in this case the cable still conneted)
Some body see something about that ?
Thank You !!!!!

Re: 1000Baset networks problems
Shalom,
Could be you have APA network card teaming running.
That should leave you connected.
You may wish to investigate the following:
/var/adm/syslog/syslog.lgo
Check with the network switch admin for errors when tis happens.
/etc/rc.config.d/netconf
# look for problems and conflicts. HP-UX does not like to lan cards configured for the same network.
if the ip is 192.168.0.10 and the network mask is 255.255.255.0 then the network is 192.168.0 and the host is 10.
