I contacted HP and the quick response was that 100VG cards aren't supported on HPUX 11i. Anyone know any better?

SolutionIf The Force is truly with you, you might try installing J2694BA from any 11.0 Application Set and set the swinstall flag to allow incomtpatible software. I really doubt that this is going to work. Your better option is to find an EISA 100Base-T card and use it. It will work at 100HD in 11.11. EISA cards will go out of support about June '04 so you really need to rethink the problem.
If you are determined to use your 100VG card then you are going top have to run no later then HP-UX 11.0.

Re: 100VG-AnyLAN on HPUX 11i
you can still use this card with HP-UX 11.00, which claims it through the vglan0 driver, however, you cannot with HP-UX 11.11 since there is no vglan driver anymore.
I believe some time ago on a sandbox I even tried what Clay suggested (allow incompatible sw for install) and installed the 11.0 driver, but the kernel build would fail....

Bernhard
