11.00 & 11i hardware paths different?

I've noticed a difference with respect to the hardware path on shared disks betwwen our 11.00 & 11.i servers.

Example:

disk 134 8/8.8.0.13.0.0.0 sdisk CLAIMED DEVICE HP OPEN-E
/dev/dsk/c9t0d0 /dev/rdsk/c9t0d0

disk 3 1/0/6/0/0.2.19.181.0.0.0 sdisk CLAIMED DEVICE HP OPEN-E
/dev/dsk/c4t0d0 /dev/rdsk/c4t0d0

The field I'm interested in is the 4th from the right in the hardware path. In my experience with 11.00, this field is the same as the loop ID on the XP Storage array. In 11i, the field does not match up to the loop ID.

We're using this in a script to keep a synchronized copy of a storage allocation file on all the servers. With the 11i servers in the mix, I'm having to update the file by hand.

Any suggestions, or explaination of the field change would be appreciated.
