Re: 2 OS in one workstation

Hi,
Yes it is possible without any problem if you install it on 2 differents disk. One for 10.20 and 11.00 on the other one. And you can choose your disk at boot time (bo pri or bo alt), you can event change at OS level by changing the primary path by using "setboot" command.

Cheers.

Hi,
It is still possible if you have a disk array which can be partitioned in different LUNs (Logical Units). But not with a ordinary disk.

Re: 2 OS in one workstation

a single disk can't be split into 2 Hardware Disk elements:
you boot from the disk hardware path itself, not from slices etc.. Slices do not exist outside the lvmcontext in hpux.. but you still boot from a hardware path in either case. As mentioned the only way to 'split' a disk into 2 hardware paths is to use some on disk controller that you often find on arrays.
It works for me (tm)

Hi Goldel!

As you can see no way to run on one disk
2 OS with LVM.
To bad but that's is the true.
