2300 storage and Hp9000

I have added two Hp storage 2300 to a cluster system running Hpux 11,
I have installed two controllers card to both system in slot 2 and 5 .

I have configured 5 mirror on a node , when a attach the storages to the other node the first system crash .

IF I do a ioscan on one node with the other node disconnected I see all the new disk without problem.

Whitch could be my problem.

adb -m /var/adm/crash/crash.0/vmunix /var/adm/crash.0

Once on adb prompt "msgbuf+8/s"

Hi,
Did you change SCSI ID on controllers in servers ?
If you have default configuration ID=7 this
situation may happends.

I mean for example:
node 1 must have ID=7 (default)
node 2 ID=6

You can change it from PDC during booting system in service menu.

Re: 2300 storage and Hp9000

I think there is some setting in the DS2300 for shared bus mode. Make sure that the DS2300 is in shared bus mode. And check each physical bus that there is no ID clash. I am just guesing, If you try to boot both systems with same boot disk, the system can crash!! (Just a thought)

Well each system have its proper boot disk.
The two new 2300 are only share disks for both system.
