3com 3C985B-SX on HP-UX 11.0 9000 N/4000
I need to install a £COM 3C985B-SX card in an HP-UX 11.0 9000 N/4000.
I can't find the appropriate driver.

Hi Paolo,
I'm pretty sure that card is not supported on a PA-RISC HP system.
Unless, of course, it's OEM'ed *for* HP.
Just because these systems have PCI busses does not mean you can run any old PCI card.
Cards for these system generally need HP firmware to be properly recognized by the systems & then of course you'll need the driver.
My 2 cents,

I will back the prior post.
If there is no HP-UX driver, you have two choices, get another card or write the driver yourself.
Due to the proprietary nature of HP-UX writing the driver might be hard. I probably would go with a card that is certified.

ok, my be our HW provider did not verify the compability of 3com NIC whith the hp9000 N/4000. Next week I will try to fix the problem.
