Hi,
We have few rp2470s boot from SAN. I just found out on one of them that a 4 port lan card was installed to a different PCI slot. All other 2470s have a 4 port lan card installed at the same PCI slot.
I reinstalled that 4 port lan card to a different PCI slot to make them all idectical. What happened after this is I got Lan 5, 6, 7,8 on that 2470.
I really want all the lan instance numbers back to 1, 2, 3, and 4.
What should I do?
thanks
Nan

Re: 4 port lan card and lan instance number
I think the Robert's doc is detail introduction of chaning Instance number. But if it do not make you confuse a lot, I think you should give it the same to avoid some unpredict errors
