I want to Modify the pkg's .ctl file ,

the needs to cmapplayconf ???

Hi,
No..Not needed.
You only have to cmapplyconf when you change ascii configurtaion files.

Adding to what Bharat had said......

remember to copy the .ctl file to all the nodes in the cluster to their respective locations.
