about sw

i download a patch and when i try to install that patch by typing "swinstall" command it gives an error that executive permission denied

Are you following the Installation instructions in the README file, that came with the patch?

You have to install any patch as the root user !

You should be root user to install the patch : download the patch to the /tmp directory .. extract the patch and then install

# swinstall -x mount_all_filsystems=true -s /tmp/PHXX_XXXXX.depot \*
