Copy files from windows to Unix
Is there anyway by which I can copy files from a windows machine to a HP-UX machine with the following restrictions?
1. I cannot use rcp/ftp.
2. I cannot ask the users to enter a password.
3. I cannot use any third party tools from windows as it may not be installed in the user’s machine.
Thanks much in advance.
Regards,
Vidhya

Re: Copy files from windows to Unix
criteria, if the HP-UX system has a floppy
drive.
"windows" does not define the available
software very well. Windows 3.1? 95? 98?
2000? XP Pro?

Re: Copy files from windows to Unix
Look into SAMBA, you can share the Unix Folder such that it is visible on the network and to the client PC (windows-based)
hope this helps!
kind regards

Re: Copy files from windows to Unix
There's lots of documentation on http://docs.hp.com and the latest CIFS software can be downloaded from http://software.hp.com
regards,
Darren.

Re: Copy files from windows to Unix
According to your requirements,I suggest Samba will answer your query.
Try to go for samba/CIFS.you will get more information about it on www.docs.hp.com
