aC++ Compiler (A.03.35)

Hi,

I want to install (PHSS_26952) HP aC++ Compiler (A.03.35) to my HP-UX 11.11 system. I downloaded the patch from itrc and when trying to install it is giving an error message "
NOTE: The patch fileset "PHSS_26952.ACXX,r=1.0" may only be
installed upon a previously installed base fileset. The
specification for this base fileset is
"ACXX.ACXX,fr=C.03.33,v=HP". Since there is no fileset on the
target or selected from the source which matches this
specification, fileset "PHSS_26952.ACXX,r=1.0" will be
excluded.

Please tell me from where I can download 03.33. I searched it at itrc.hp.com but it as asking to install PHSS_33945 which I tried but not able to install it.

Are you trying to install a patch for the
compiler you already have, or are you trying
to install the compiler (for the first time)?

According to the error you do not have either C++ installed or the correct version.

You can't. You must have gotten it back in Dec 2001 when it was initially released.

Why do you think you need obsolete A.03.35? The latest is A.03.80.

I am trying to install it first time and installed runtime successfully.
# swlist -l product |grep -i PHSS_33945
PHSS_33945 1.0 HP aC++ -AA runtime libraries (aCC A.03.76

But I am not able to installed any of compliler version. Please let me what are the steps to install Compiler Version A.03.80

Step 1: Obtain the compiler installation kit
and the codeword to enable it. HP sells this
compiler. They do not (normally) give it
away for free. It is not a patch.

Step 2: Follow the instruction which come
with that kit.

The C/C++ run-time stuff is part of HP-UX, so
you can probably find a patch for that (and
install it), but the compiler itself is a
different story.

Are you by any chance after this patch beacuse the Oracle installer told you you needed it?

If so you can ignore the warning from OUI if you don't have the product installed.
