Hi,

I need to turn on accounting on HP, do any one have any documents or instruction how to do it and how to get the stats out of it, do I need to change any kernel parameters etc.

You mean auditing?

You'll see option to convert your system to trusted mode. This will turn on auditing.

That will create audit files in the /.secure/etc folder, part of root fs. I relocate these files to /home/secure so root doesn't fill up too fast.

Or do you mean process accounting ?

To switch on:

/usr/sbin/acct/accton

But you need to read the man pages

man 1m acct
man 1m acctsh

etc
