/etc/rc.config.d/netconf file
Other changes with on routing will be in effect using route / ifconfig upto reboot / shutdown there.

or

in the ROUTE_DESTINATION entry

The document says this way:
To add a permanent default route entry:
1. Add the route entry in /etc/rc.config.d/netconf
ROUTE_DESTINATION[1]="default"
ROUTE_MASK[1]=""
ROUTE_GATEWAY[1]=ip_address
ROUTE_COUNT[1]=1
ROUTE_ARGS[1]=""
2. reboot system for changes to take effect
3. netstat -rn shows permanent entry
