SolutionThere is a program available from HP, an UNSUPPORTED utility, called vgmodify, I think. Rumor has it that this utility will allow you to change some VG parameters. I don't know if it will work in this case. It may, but I've never tried it.
In my opinion, your best bet would be to create a new VG for the 146 GB disks. When you create your VG, change the "Max PE per PV" and "PE Size" parameters so that in the future you can add bigger disks if need be.
# man vgcreate
for information on the available parameters.
