After system reboot old name is as server hostname ...

Hello.
My collegue changed hostname with set_parms command. he checked /etc/hosts and netconf file against proper - new hostname name.
But after reboot the system stands with the old name of hostname.
Do you have any suspections?

Shalom,

hostname command in /etc/profile or init scripts.

Check /etc/rc.config.d/netconf

Make sure you did not back up the old netconf file in /etc/rc.config.d they'll both be read. Keep backups of those files elsewhere.

Hello!.
You were right.
I remember got this situation some time ago.. but human memory is not perfect!
I hope this time will remember 4ever!
Can not make copies of netconf locally... should be moved elsewhere...
