Hey Folks,
I realize HP is no longer the owner, nor responsible for supporting, RTAP/Plus...however if there is anyone still out there using/familiar with it, I sure could use some help.
I am setting up an Rtap environment, however whenever I try and start RtapScBuilder (to build a schematic), regardless of starting it with the GUI or from the command line, it is failing with an error of unable to initialize the colors.
I am also getting a constantly logging error from RtapXColorMngr regarding unable to access all the color cells.
Anyone have any idea where to start?
Thanks in advance!
Mike

Solution
This *used* to be true ....
The way Rtap uses the colormaps is based on an 8 bit model
Most likely the configuration of the X resources on your workstation
is set to use "24 bit true color visual".
Rtap requires that you set this to "8 bit true color visual
Doing this should not cut back on the speed performance of your graphics
card : can be changed via Sam -> Display - Xserver config

Re: Anyone still remember RTAP
Still true. I was using Exceed through a win2k machine. I changed the setting from automatic (which was setting it at 24bit) down to "Psudocolor" which uses a smaller bit map. I don't actually know how much smaller, but it did the trick.
Thanks!
Mike
