I have a lot of messages like that

atdd:0/3/0/0.5.24.255.2.6.0:31 00 00 44 00 00 61 40 01 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 1..D..a@.0000000
atdd:0/3/0/0.5.24.255.2.6.0:SIM/MIM Data from drive 0/3/0/0.5.24.255.2.6.0


in the syslog.
Is there any wrong?

Looks like you are using a IBM device which uses the atdd driver wihch is logging messages.

really not sure about those messages

Hi Carmen,

Is this system connected to an EMC array?
They appear to be from an EMC utility.
They don't *appear* to show trouble.

do you happen to have EMC's powerpath on the box? If so you may be functioning with a dead connection.

if you have powerpath do a powermt display dev=all | grep -v alive. Look for dead or other keyword. You don't care about Alive connections as they are fine...
