Is anyone doing automatic security patch downloads for the UNIX side of the world? Like windoZe?
Is there a way that I can setup an auto download of security patches to a software depot or something in house, then I can manually install the patches. I have a need to do this.

Re: Auto Patch Loading
Hi,
Look at this http://www.patchlink.com
AFAIK, they support HPUX as well.
If you want to manage the issue by yourself and you have an HPUX server, which you don't use, install SecPatchChk (HP-UX Security Check Tool), syncronize this server with the ones you use, look for the patches which should be installed on the test server and download them.

Shalom,
security_patch_check will list the patches you need. Then you can manually download them with dependencies from the itrc patch database.
security_patch_check is a stand alone product that is also provided along with Bastille.
It normally uses ftp access, though you can get the database file it needs with a pc and use the sneakernet to get it onto your HP servers.
