automount through NIS maps

Hi!

I have a working NIS server which distributes with no problems passwd , group , netgroup and services files . I would like to add automount files to the distribution but I have no idea where to start looking for the way to do it .
Can anyone please point me to the right direction?

My standard reference for this is the O'reilly book: "Managing NFS and NIS" -- it will take you through all the steps and is platform independent. If you prefer an online reference then searchs dos.hp.com but the O'reilly book should be on every NIS user's bookshelf.
