automount udp not tcp

How do I configure automount to use udp instead of tcp? I don't find it mentioned anywhere in the automount or autofs man pages.

You do that in the mount options:

proto=

Allows user to specify which transport option should be used: UDP or TCP. Once specified, NFS only attempts to connect using that transport option. If the specified transport option is not available, the mount fails.

Not too sure if that will work with autofs though...
