Hi,
the command
ps -ef
will tell you ALL processes currently running.
Background processes in your current shell environment (including he current process info) you get via:
ps -f
mfG Peter

unless you mean processes you started yourself in the background in which case "jobs"
Never preceed any demonstration with anything more predictive than "watch this"
