Backup DVD

hi all,
I have HPUX11i Server.
please I want to know how can i take backup with DVD and what software can be install on the server for this job?

hi,

if you have HP-UX you should use Ignite-UX,

backup to the Ignite server ( via LAN ) or directly to the tape attached to your server.

Hi,
Dear, U need to go for Ignite backup on tape,
By using DAT Tape u can take 72 GB of OS and other data also, y ur going to take backup on DVD which is not more then 4Gb.

For taking Ignite backup u must have Ignite Ux should be installed, use below command to take ignite backup.
#make_tape_recovery -Av -a path_tape_drive -x inc_entire=vg00 -x exclude=/mountpoint -t "comment"

If u want to exclude any mount point menstion if not dont include "-x exclude"
