bad primitive

On several K460 and K420 I got the following error in the syslog:
"vmunix: received a bad primitive: prim is 35"

What kind of error is this?

Re: bad primitive

A bad primitive error in the syslog is usually caused by something on the
network,as this is a DLPI message, and I believe you may want to check out your
network.
Possible areas to look at are congestion/too many collisions, or get a network
sniffer/person to monitor and see what may cause this.
