Banner/separator Page from HP 5550dn
Hi everybody.
One of my users has reported that a new printer, an HP 5550dn, is producing a banner/separator page with every print. This only happens if the print comes from HP-UX - a print from Windows does not produce the banner/separator. I have confirmed that it does the same for me if I send a print from the command line.
The configuration file is identical to one in use by another printer: the other printer does not produce a banner/separator page (which is correct, according to the configuration file).
Any ideas how I can rectify this?

Re: Banner/separator Page from HP 5550dn
Mark,
What happens if you try "lp -o nb"? I put an alias in each users .rc file to (attempt) to force no banner: "alias lp=lp -o nb".

Re: Banner/separator Page from HP 5550dn
Pete,
My print from the command line worked the way it should using your command. I've set up the alias as suggested for the user and will ask him to try next time he logs in (tomorrow). Ten points headed your way if it does the trick.
I don't understand why the configuration file has not successfully suppressed the banner page, but if there's another solution, I'm happy.
