Bill Hassell at HPWorld 2002 and Forums Reception

Hi Everyone,

As many of you may know, HP World 2002 is coming soon to the Los Angeles Convention Center, September 23-27. When you register for the HP World 5-Day Passport, be sure to sign-up for the full day training seminar presented by Bill Hassell and David Totsch. The topic Bill and David will cover is:

"Professional System Administration for HP-UX: Keeping Your Systems Healthy".

Also, I found there are 15+ training seminars that may be relevant to you. For details, go to http://www.hpworld.com/conference/hpworld2002/seminars.html.

If you register before August 26th you'll receive an "Early Bird" rate and other ITRC benefit. Be sure to sign-up for the ITRC Forums Community Reception on Wednesday, September 25th -- Bill Hassell will be attending as well.

No offense to Bill, who's a heck of a guy - but I want to meet Dan.

Actually, there really isn't a Dan Gazziniga...he's like Betty Crocker, an imaginary person that is used in advertising. Many people write messages using his login.

(I could be wrong though..) 8-)

Bill, good one....problem is, I absolutely do NOT resemble Betty Crocker in any way! :)

Pete, I will be attending HPWorld, so hope to meet up with you. Be sure to register for the forums reception for the night of the 25th. Registration is from the ITRC registration page at http://www.interex.org/conference/hpworld2002/itrc/

Thanks,
Dan

Re: Bill Hassell at HPWorld 2002 and Forums Reception

Hey Dan,

My wife and I and my boss will all be coming down. We have someone other than our employer sending us, and they already registered us for HP World. Can I get on the list for the reception still?

Thanks

Re: Bill Hassell at HPWorld 2002 and Forums Reception

A fine time was had by all. I got to meet Clay, Rita, Dan, John, and, of course, Bill (who I've met several times before), as well as many other old acquaintances. Clay gave a wonderful, inspiring, off-the-cuff talk at the Forums reception Wednesday night. The days were packed with informative sessions. The evenings were packed with receptions, parties, good food and libations aplenty. All in all, it was a great HPWorld once again. I wish you all could have been there.

I'm sure pictures will be soon following for those of us who were unable to attend.

Now if we were so fortunate, even a video conference would be presented.

Intel had several of these on their web site from their last conference.

WOW!...John...A whole mousepad!?!?!
Gosh - Dan must be trying to break the budget again =~)

I only had to spend several $K on my new B2600 & p1120 monitor to get MY mousepad...and Dan is JUST giving them away........

Cheers,
Jeff (Tongue firmly in cheek)

Jeff,

I didn't want to mention the giveaways because I knew you folks would all get jealous - but as long as John has let the cat out of the bag. . . Dan was also giving away T-Shirts (bottomless budget, obviously). I was really hoping to win one so I could tell Dan to send it to Wodisch instead.

Re: Bill Hassell at HPWorld 2002 and Forums Reception

Bill,

I thought you were Irish!! How could you not know what libations means? Webster's says:

1 a: an act of pouring a liquid as a sacrifice b: a liquid (as wine) used in a libation
2 a: an act or instance of drinking often ceremoniously b:Beverage; esp: a drink containing alcohol

Does that clear it up?
