binary from HPUX 11.0 running on HPUX11i

Hi,

Is there a chance for a binary generated on HPUX 11.0 (generated for PA8500) to run on HPUX 11i with ap processor PA 8800 ?

In theory this should be the case.

But you need to test it to make sure that it is the case.

You should have no problem running 11.00 binary
on 11i, but it's a good idea to test it thoroughly
before using it in some critical applications.

I might also add that I have run 11.00 built
applications on 11i for couple of years with
absolutely no problem.
