boot on rx3600

I have an rx3600 server with sasmgr-utility instead of standard mirror. So when I try to
replace original primary boot disk with another boot disk with OS 11.23 / on the same controler / I cannot boot. I'm sure the another disk is OK.

Is there any reconfiguration need before to make such change for this type of server?
On other hpux-mashines this procedure is OK.

Can you be a little more specific.

° Is the server where it is working also an rx3600, or can you give the model and os
° Is the server where it is working also configured with a SAS raid controller or do you use Mirror/UX here?

The mirror procedure for Itaniums is a little different than non-Itaniums.

I can not understand from your request whether this sysetm is using vxvm or lvm. That makes a difference.

If its LVM lvlnboot-v
Should show whether the system is properly mirrored with two boot disks.

Obviously something is wrong otherwise your test would have worked.

If i understand, you want to boot from your
back up disc when you insert the new one right ?

If this is true, have you tried booting from EFI ??
Have you checked your mirrowing. you could do it with lvlnboot, so you see if it is correctly configured.
