Boot to a command prompt
Hi. We would like to have one of our HPUX 11.11 servers automatically boot to a command prompt instead of the CDE. Can anyone shed some light on how to do this?
Regards,
Chad

Re: Boot to a command prompt
Modify /etc/inittab so that the line containing initdefault reads thusly:
init:3:initdefault:
PCS
init:3:initdefault:
PCS

Re: Boot to a command prompt
Assuming you mean you want it to boot to a login prompt, change value of DESKTOP to "" in /etc/rc.config.d/desktop.
