boot without console

Looking for info to setup some K, L, and N series systems so they can boot with consoles.

Had a system PANIC recently and the system did not come up because no console was hooked up.

Have heard that it is possible to configure a system to boot without a console attached but am unable to find info.

Used the SEARCH facility but the return was not useful. Yes, the box will run without a console but how about booting without a console.
