Booting from CD but it keeps going to recovery mode
I am trying to install HP-UX 11i from CD,and I am using windows hytper terminal with standard settings.when I boot from the external scsi CD Drive, it keeps going into the recovery menu without giving me the choice of going into the installation menu. I stuck an HP-UX 11.0 CD in there and the same thing happened. Any idea how to fix this?
Thanks
Siva

Re: Booting from CD but it keeps going to recovery mode
Problem 1: Hyper terminal isn't a real console, and the keyboard layout may be doing you in.
Make sure you use the best possible terminal emulation, which in this case would probably be vt100
You should receive a choice and be able choose recovery mode or installation mode. Even with hperterminal, if you get the emulation right(trial and error) you should be able to get normal choices.
There are a lot of back itrc posts on this issue. Bill Hassell explains it much beter than I do.
