Re: booting

It should be the same as more current machines. You get the "10 seconds - press any key message" and do so. I just got rid of my last 715 so I can't test this for certain but that's how I recall it.

Re: booting

Yep,
- on the 10 seconds command, hit a key
- type SEA to find the boot devices,
- type boot P3 (f.i.) to start from the found boot device.

Good luck
Donald

Be sure to have enough memory (>=128Mb) if you load ux11, otherwise it will be deadslow. 10.20 can run with 32 Mb.

Re: booting

I thought on workstations that to interupt the boot you hit the escape key?

Re: booting

8 yellow boxes?? I don't remember yellow boxes. What are you using for a monitor? If I remember correctly, my 715/100 (that I had up until a few months ago) was connected to a monitor that would start up in power-save mode - the screen would stay dark until after the "10 second" message had gone by, so I used to just continuously press the esc key every two or three seconds until I got the menu.

Does that help any?
