bootpd: ioctl: Invalid argument

I'm running bootp on my 11.0 box and keep, getting the following errors

Aug 3 14:38:49 venus bootpd[29015]: bootpd 2.4 #1.17.112.7: Wed Apr 14 05:09:15 GMT 1999
Aug 3 14:38:49 venus bootpd[29015]: ioctl: Invalid argument
Aug 3 14:38:50 venus inetd[884]: bootps/udp: Exit status 1

first I thought it might be a corrupt bootptab file, but running this bootptab on another server produces no errors.

Any Ideas ??

Re: bootpd: ioctl: Invalid argument

If you have many network interfaces it is likely that this is fixed in the latest bootpd patch PHNE_19241.

JAGab37715 / SR#8606138062:
bootpd and bootpquery does not start if a host has more than 10 network interfaces.

Re: bootpd: ioctl: Invalid argument

Carsten,

I don't have as much as ten interface cards (got three) but I installed PHNE_19241 and the problem seems to be solved

Thanks
