Brain Cramp

Can someone remind me how to force a core dump on a T600. I am having a senior moment.

Well if your trying to get an app to core dump..have you tried a kill -3 or sometimes a kill -6 works..

Just a thought (..but it's hard to remember...ha ha..)

IIRR, u would need to control-b on the
console and do a TC to get the dump.

Hi,

Go to service mode (using Ctrl-B) on the console. In the service menu you can type "help" for available commands. One of them is "TC", which is Transfer of Control -> reset + dump.

Use the TC to force a CrashDump. /var/adm/crash/
on reboot. Expect to wait if you've lots of mem.

To force a core dump (process application space) kill -6 pid
