Building 64-bit system (A500) from 32-bit Ignite tape (D230)
Is there any way to use this 32-bit-kernel tape on a 64-bit machine? Is there some option I can use either while creating the recovery tape, or when doing an Advanced installation, to make this work?

Ignite only works across "similar" systems.
You can get away with an L -> N scenario, but not a V-class -> SuperDome for example.

That is less hardware dependent and may enable you to migrate os software and configuration.

Re: Building 64-bit system (A500) from 32-bit Ignite tape (D230)
After posting this I realized I have access to an A500 that already has most of what I need, so I'll be using that as my recovery source.
I realize that the lastest version of Ingite won't help me in this case, but I'll download it anyway.
