dear all,
we have put two integrity servers into use, so we need to migrate all the programs from the former PA servers, which's os is 11.11. so, in this procedure of migration, what should us pay attention to?
thanks a lot

Solution
If the code is well-written, it will port with no problems at all. Now if your code was not so well-written and depends upon carefully aligned data structures or the size of a variable being 4 bytes, for example, then you may have problems. Essentially this is just like porting C from any platform to any other platform. If your code was designed from the outset with portability in mind then the porting task is easy; if not ... .
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Re: C program migrated from 11.11 to 11.23 problem
The HP C compilers are different between PA and IPF and K&R is no longer supported.
If your applications are "tricky" and use lots of system features, you could look into source scanners in STK:

The alignment and sizes are exactly the same for PA and IPF. There is no need to port to 64 bit for Integrity HP-UX.
