C3000 Install woes

I have an HP C3000 workstation. This system came with a (single) 9GB disk running 11.11. I bought 2 18GB to use instead. I removed the 9GB disk and installed the 2 18s. I booted the 11.11 install media from CD. The system boots fine and finds the disks, but the after the message "Querying graphics device," the system just hangs with the CD drive light blinking. Here's the output:

======= 10/31/03 02:03:41 EST HP-UX Installation Initialization. (Fri Oct 31
02:03:41 EST 2003)
@(#) Ignite-UX Revision B.4.2.108
@(#) install/init (opt) $Revision: 10.277 $

* Querying disk device: 10/0/15/1.5.0 ...
* Querying disk device: 10/0/15/1.6.0 ...
* Querying graphics device: 10/6/2/0 ...

it's been sitting like this for ~40 mins now. Any ideas what is going on?

Re: C3000 Install woes

Hi there are a couple of things you can do. Do you have an ordinary monitor like a 700/96? If so you can connect it to the serial-1 port and try and boot from there. I have had a similar problem where it hangs on the graphics card when the USB keyboard is broken. Changing the keyboard made it all burst into life. The other thing is the monitor selection, if it has a different monitor from what was originally used to set it up, then that can cause a problem. You need to watch the keyboard lights at power on time and as soon as they flash you hit the TAB key and that takes you into the monitor selection process.
Hope this helps

Re: C3000 Install woes

Thanks for your reply. Actually, I solved the problem moments ago. I should have stipulated that I was using the serial interface.

I solved the problem by replacing the CDROM with another one. Everything went great after that.
