C3600 hangking in CDE environment with 11.00

Hi experts,

We have a workstation Hp C3600 model which is having HP-UX 11.00. Recently one file system got full. So I deleted unwanted user data only from the particular folder.But now system get hangs frequently in CDE environment.But after hangs also we can able to connect the M/c thru telnet.I checked all Outputs like disk, cpu ,top..etc.all are always normal.I changed the keyboard & mouse also but no use.
Kindly help to find out the problem.

Which data you deleted??

What is the error you get when you try to login?? (syslog.log, /var/dt/Xerrors, $HOME/.dt/errorlog)

Run dr_dt and check if everything is OK.

Hi Shankar,

is it hanging for a special user?

Then I would create his home directory new.
Maybe his .dt directory is damaged.

Maybe when the file system was full a file couldn't be saved completely - but which file ...

I've seen this when the /home partition becomes full. Either the CDE hangs or kicks you out to the login prompt. On the login prompt, select Options and Command Line then check (bdf) your /home partition....
