C3700 hangs
We have a brand new c3700 which seems to go to sleep quite regularly. It is running HP-UX 11.00, and has the patch bundle from last quarter (2001 - Dec). It will simply lock up, is not accessable from the terminal, network or even by pressing the power button. The only solution is to pull the power cord. Has anyone else experienced an issue like this?

Re: C3700 hangs
I would look at logging a cal with your HP support Centre.
Get the system to TOC dump after ensuring enough space, and have this analysed.
I have to stat I am unsure how you force TOC this model, but there may be a little button somehwre marke TOC

This is a PA8500 wokstation.
How old is it? cannot be that old, they are relatively new I think.
Care to elaborate on what they said?

Re: C3700 hangs
Yes i have one L-1000 server which doesn't power off when i push the power button, literally i have to switch off the electrical switch. other than this it works well.
In your case i feel that mismatch of components(memory, processor ...) might be causing this problem. Only HP support can help you

Re: C3700 hangs
I had similar kind of problem with one of the HP workstaion B2000 . Our user used say the same problem with that workstation.(It just hangs, and it won't shutdown when we switch off the power on/off swith in the workstation and he used to swicth off the mains to reboot.)
I just reinstalled the OS, Magically now it works fine for last 6 months.

Re: C3700 hangs
I got that workstation moved it from one location to other (with in same floor ).I thoght that the temprature, power condition in it's current power socket and humidity level does mater in this case.
