Cadence installation problem
Hi,
I am facing problems with installing Cadence. The CD's appear to give the following errors at random points in installation.
DD error:
xxx records in
xxx records out
The number xxx keeps changing and sometimes CD-1 goes fine..sometimes it doesn't... on the same machine.
I also tried copying the whole CD using
$ cp -R /cdrom cdrom1
However the softload program - provided by Cadence fails to recognize the directory cdrom1 as the cdrom mount point.
the cp -R command gave error with one file..but I copied that file again..and also compared the sizes which were ok.
Is there any utility through which I compare the cdrom1 directory contents with the actual CD mounted on /cdrom.
Thanks in advance,
Vinayak

Re: Cadence installation problem
Sorry, forgot to mention that we have B2000 workstations with HP-UX 11.0 loaded on them.
