Unexpected exit memory fault when using Sam to modify password of user

I am getting following message when trying to modify a user's password using sam.I am able to add users but when modifying the user password is when I get it.Initially the system is generating a user number.

UNEXPECTED EXIT: process LANG=C LC_ALL=C /usr/sam/lbin/samx -C -p 1905 -s users /usr/sam/lib//ug.ui exited with a non-zero exit status. sh: 2042 Memory fault

The first thing I would suspect is patches, which I would check for you but you didn't mention what OS version you're running.

Try loading the latest SAM/OBAM patches.

This one reeks of "stinking patches"

P.S. Speaking of stink, howdy Pete ;)~~

Ramprakash Surulirajan,

Can you open the documents I have provided, they seem to match your discription. If not do next command in this order,

swconfig latest Sam patch. Try again to enter the sam user area

# swconfig \*
Try again to enter the sam user area

reinstall the sam patch or install the newer one if you have it available

http://www5.itrc.hp.com/service/patch/patchDetail.do?patchid=PHCO_22268&context=hpux:800:10:20

NOTE: The installation of this patch does not require a re-boot.

Re-loading the sam patch will normally fix the problem.

Robert-Jan.
