can not boot from the ignite tape on RX2660
HPUX> boot 0/2/1/0.2.0
Could not open file 0/2/1/0.2.0 to check for a directory
Could not open 0/2/1/0.2.0
the HW path is for the tape drive.
the command I used for creating the tape:
make_tape_recovery -I -a /dev/rmt/0mn -x inc_entire=vg00
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Re: can not boot from the ignite tape on RX2660
There is an EFI menu.
You need to set up the system to boot from tape before it can.

Re: can not boot from the ignite tape on RX2660
Just select "boot from file" and select the tape drive.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: can not boot from the ignite tape on RX2660
HOwever, I am running into another problem.
it complains about /dev/rdsk/c4t7d0, but I don't believe this disk ever existed on either source or target system. Further, I just re-run the igniate installation again, in the end of the procedure, there is one disk called "HP_DISK_SUBSYSTEM". I have no idea what the disk is. Please see the attachment.
I believe, I should remove this disk but how, I went through ignite screens, but there is no such disk.

Re: can not boot from the ignite tape on RX2660
In an interactive session you should select the target disk for the installation.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: can not boot from the ignite tape on RX2660
You just connect tape to the server and type
make_tape_recovery -Av
and for any modification that you can do during installation.
pls check it
