Can't Install Os 11.23 June2007 to rx2660
Good Day!
I have a scenario here I was wondering why it happens......
Scenrio:
I have a server Rx2660 and I tried to installed OS with version B.11.23 September2006 and lower while server/FC cable is already connected to EMCcx380 storage and it works and succesfully installed the OS.
When I tried to install June2007 up to latest Upon installation i get this error below:
* Scanning system for IO devices...
NOTE: Boot device is: 0/0/2/1.0.16.0.0
aCC runtime: pure virtual function called for class "".
WARNING: send_smapi_command: smapi_send_and_wait failed, got: CONTINUE
ERROR: IO action QUERY_PROCESSOR failed: got
WARNING: Could not find Q_BOOT device. Cannot determine what the boot device
was.
WARNING: send_smapi_command: smapi_send_and_wait failed, got: CONFIG_SAVE
ERROR: Could not write disk information file
NOTE: System rebooting...
Shutdown at 19:12 (in 0 minutes)
System shutdown time has arrived
After this error, i tried to remove FC cable/Storage from server and restart the installation and it works and succesfully OS was succesfully in RX2660 server.
Anybody have an idea why it happens, why i can't continue the installation w/ latest version of OS(June2007) while FC cable is connected to server. Is this Firmware issue? or is this a bug in June2007?

Re: Can't Install Os 11.23 June2007 to rx2660
I think one of the difference could be the Ignite-UX version used for the OS installation.
I would look for their versions and see the release notes of the Ignite-UX to see if this is a known bug with the version on June'07 CD.
