Can't perform early dump to LVM dump device

I am getting System Panic when trying to boot in maintance mode. I need to get a dump to HP but it comes back with the above error in the subject field. Any ideas why I can not get a dump?

Re: Can't perform early dump to LVM dump device

There was a similar thread couple of days back. I cannot tell you why you cannot get a dump but try this before getting the dump across to HP for analysis.

LVM maitenance mode uses the /stand/rootconf to locate the root and boot volumes. May be this file is corrupt or something.

1) Remove the /stand/rootconf file and boot in multiuser mode. This should create the rootconf file. Or you can also execute lvlnboot command -c option to create this file.

Now try booting in the maintenance mode and see if this helps

When you are in multi-user mode, also confirm the dump device file configuration using lvlnboot and crashconf commands.
