Hi Guys
I got a problem like, when i try to reboot a machine
(HP 9000/712/100 11.00 OS) before invoking CDE login screen it's giving a error message like
"grmd: cannot do a bind on the socket" after that it's giving message like "X - server cannot start.". More over i am not able to export display. If i try to export the DISPLAY it's showing a message like "unable to open the display hostname:0.0" eventhough i have put " xhost + ".
can you please help me.
Thanks in advance.

Solution
Check the folder "socket" under /var/spool.
Folder "/var/spool/socket" should have permission set with "drwxrwxrwx" (every body with read ,write and access permission) and the same is applicable for the file "/var/spool/socket/grmd" file
(ie. srwxrwxrwx)
