Cannot find /tcb when run pwconv

Cannot find /tcb when run pwconv

First I run pwconv to convert to shadow password. Then, I find /etc/shadow but cannot find /tcb dir.

As I understand, when i run pwconv. It will have both /etc/shadow and /tcb.

Do I understand right?

This case is complete for convert shadow password?

Re: Cannot find /tcb when run pwconv

No you do not understand right.

The /etc/shadow file (for shadow passwords) and the /tcb directory structure (for a trusted system) are mutually exclusive.

The system can have either /etc/shadow or /tcb but it cannot have both.

If you have the /etc/shadow file present and pwconv completed without errors then your conversion to shadow passwords should be complete.

Re: Cannot find /tcb when run pwconv

you are not perfectly understand.

/tcb directory will create when your server is in trusted mode.

in non-trusted mode you will not find any /tcb directory
