cannot install PartitionManager + JDK 1.4.2.08 on Itanium

Hi

I'm configuring a rx2660 Integrity server.
One requisite from the application is JDK 1.4.2.08 (not another newer)

The server had JDK 1.4.2.10. I removed that and PartitionManager software that depends on JDK.

I downloaded JDK 1.4.2.08 from hp.com and installed. Therefore, there would no problem to install PartitionManager because its corequisites are:

The corequisites for Java are

Jre14.JRE14,r>=1.4.2.07.%

but the JDK bundle downloaded from HP contains NO FILESET named Jdk14.JDK14 nor Jre14.JRE14:

What version of partition manager did you use?

This one?

BTW, if you reallay have the rx2660 "...I'm configuring a rx2660 Integrity server..."

Yep, as I read i was thinking the same as Torsten, if its a rx2660 no need for partition manager, you could just install your java forgetting about partition manager

It looks like it is missing.

Then that's what you want. 1.4.2.10 is >= 1.4.2.07.%

Thanx everyone BUT

Rx2660 is not partitionable but it is going to be cloned on 4 SD partitions (partitionable!)


I haven't the JDK requisites of application nowhere because they are provided by other work team.

I don't know if it works to prepare the system image for a partitionable server on a system like this, but the rx2660 needs IIRC at least septmber 2006 version of hp-ux to run.
This version also contains
Java15JREadd 1.5.0.03.02 Java 1.5 JRE -AA addon for HP-UX
(and JDK too) and also
T1456AAaddon 1.4.2.10.05 Java2 1.4 SDK -AA addon for HP-UX

together with
ParMgr B.23.02.01.03 Partition Manager - HP-UX



So I guess a combination of this will work.
But in any case I would use the current versions.
