SolutionA fairly common error for x windows.
A default font is substituted and the program should still work.

Re: Cannot load font
You might want to load your font server on that machine:
/sbin/init.d/xfs start
Regards,
Jaime.

Re: Cannot load font
Indeed, the program works just fine, just annoying to see the error message every time.

Re: Cannot load font
Or, just run a telnet session rather than all that graphic stuff and you won't have to deal with fonts (and colors, etc).

Re: Cannot load font
Well, unless your screen is plugged into a Linux or other Unix workstation, there is something on your local box that translates the X11 protocol into images on your screen. Unless your local computer is an HP-UX workstation, there is likely to be a font mismatch once in a while -- thus the need to configure your local computer to use the HP-UX font server.

Re: Cannot load font
if the font server is already running on your HP server, enter that in your shell (once) before starting ignite:
xset +fp tcp/hp-hostname:7000
(or whatever port your xfs is running, 7000 is default).
