SolutionI've seen it hang there for 5-10 minutes or so before carrying on with 11i, on various servers then just carries on as normal. especially if the system has plenty of memory and processors.
how long did you leave it? before giving up?
you may find that once its rebooted properly it will reboot alot quicker in future. Unless you have hardware that is not compatible with 11i only 11.23

Re: Cannot reboot, system freezes.
You have a HW problem on your server, because HP-UX 11i can work on it. Your system freezes when it trying to find HW. Try to check all SCSI cables and fibers leading to external devices. Try to start the machine removing the cables and/or with removing the FC card to locate where the error comes from. Maybe you can reinstall the 11 v2 again to see if it can be run again at last.

Borislav

Re: Cannot reboot, system freezes.
Your using a version of B11.11 that isn't compatable with the rp3440.
You need the version of june 2004 or december 2004. yust what steve lewis said.
